I'm just a normal first grade teacher who turned around one day and realized that I'm falling behind. I think I'm way behind on the technology times. I believe that I have a good technology basis and I have a wonderful technology savy husband who is always there for support. However, I need to take this upon myself. Borrowing a quote from a favorite movie of mine in high school, "In the immortal words of The Doors, 'The time to hesitate is through.'"
This is my first post on my first blog. It's one baby step in the right direction of figuring out the complex tech world that now exists. It's a step towards navigating blogs, wikis, websites, podcasts, and so much more that I, the teacher, must know, understand, and teach to my students. This will be a journey that I plan to share through the blog. I will look for advice, ideas, help and support along the way. I will be a technology role model to my students. That's the number one goal, I must reach the students. Yes, starting with my first graders. I can't fall of short of my goal. My 21st Century students need me too much.
